Al-A'raf 7:80-84
And [We had sent] Lot when he said to his people, "Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds? (80) Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people." (81) But the answer of his people was only that they said, "Evict them from your city! Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure." (82) So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who remained behind. (83) And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals. (84)
Ash-Shu'ara 26:160-175
The people of Lot denied the messengers (160) When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? (161) Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. (162) So fear Allah and obey me. (163) Do you approach males among the worlds (165) And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? Rather, you are a transgressing people." (166) So We saved him and his family, all, (170) Except an old woman among those who remained behind. (171) Then We destroyed the others. (172)
Genesis 13:10-13
Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered... So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan. Lot pitched his tents near Sodom. Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD.
Ezekiel 16:49-50
"Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen."

Hud 11:77-83
And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort and said, "This is a trying day." (77) And his people came hastening to him, and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds. He said, "O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you." (78) They said, "You have already known that we have not in your daughters any claim, and indeed, you know what we want." (79) He said, "If only I had against you some power or could take refuge in a strong support." (80) The angels said, "O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; [therefore], they will never reach you. So set out with your family during a portion of the night and let not any among you look back — except your wife." (81)
Genesis 19:1-3, 12-13, 24-26
The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them. The two men said to Lot, "Do you have anyone else here? Get them out of here, because we are going to destroy this place." Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
Destruction of Sodom
So the shriek seized them at sunrise. (73) And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay. (74) Indeed in that are signs for those who discern. (75) And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. (76) Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. (77)
Al-Qamar 54:33-39
The people of Lot denied the warning. (33) Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot — We saved them before dawn (34) As a favor from Us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful. (35) And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. (36) And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning." (37)
Deuteronomy 29:23
The whole land will be a burning waste of salt and sulfur — nothing planted, nothing sprouting, no vegetation growing on it. It will be like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboyim, which the LORD overthrew in fierce anger.
Luke 17:28-32
It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. Remember Lot's wife!
Matthew 10:15; 11:23-24
"Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town." (Matthew 10:15) "And you, Capernaum... If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day." (Matthew 11:23)
Lot as Righteous Man
And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds." (28) And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, "Indeed, we will destroy the people of that city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers." (31) [Abraham] said, "Indeed, within it is Lot." They said, "We are more knowing of who is within it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife. She is to be of those who remain behind." (32)
2 Peter 2:6-8
If he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless.
Jude 1:7
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
Lot's Wife
At-Tahrim 66:10
Allah presents an example of those who disbelieved: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of Our righteous servants but betrayed them, so those prophets did not avail them from Allah at all, and it was said, "Enter the Fire with those who enter." (10)
Sins of Sodom
Sanhedrin 109a
The people of Sodom were punished only on account of their great miserliness, as it says: "She had bread and abundance of food and quiet ease, but she did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy" (Ezekiel 16:49). And they had four judges: Shakrai, Shakrurai, Zayyafi, and Matzlei [meaning: Liar, Great Liar, Forger, and Perverter of Justice].
Hospitality
Bereishit Rabbah 50:4
That very night two angels came to him... Lot said to them: "I entreat you, my lords, turn aside to your servant's house." Rabbi Yose said: He learned from Abraham how to receive guests, and Lot followed in his uncle's footsteps.
